My earliest recollections of seeing and hearing “musicians" are quite vivid. As a kid I remember watching TV and constantly trying to focus on those guys in the background playing instruments. Tom Jones had a weekly variety show and every week he’d feature this guy playing a Fender Tele - Big Jim Sullivan. Well, that did it for me - that’s where the real magic existed and continues to exist today, with the guys accompanying, soloing, comping, etc., behind the front man.

As with many guitar players, my obsession/influences began with Pop/Rock/Jazz Stars on the Music Scene past and present: The Stones, The Beatles, Hendrix and Zeppelin, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, T-Bone Walker and Clarence “Gatemouth" Brown, James Burton, Scotty Moore, Carl Perkins, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, Wes Montgomery, Tal Farlow, Johnny Smith and ultimately the countless working sidemen who continue to amaze me.

My personal style of playing is a hybrid of flatpick and fingers - although I’m comfortable playing finger style and flat picking.

Some of my touring credits include - Chaka Khan, The Mamas and The Papas, Wilson Pickett . Film credits include “Fighting Gravity" (I was also the Music Supervisor), “Company Man" and “Camp". Television credits include - Sesame Street, A Wedding Story, Saturday Night Live Documentary, The Little Mermaid and various daytime Soap Operas. Several recent CD credits include - Adam Pascal - “Model Prisoner", Julia Douglass - “Fetish For The Underdog", Daryl Kojak - “Notes From The Pilgrimage", Ina May Wool - “Moon Over 97th Street" and a solo project for Jean Louisa Kelly. Original Broadway Soundtrack recordings include - "You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown", “All Shook Up" and "RENT".

My most used Electric Guitars are:
a Paisley Tele with DiMarzio "Virtual T" pickups, a Butterscotch Tele, a Marchione Tele with Duncan P-90's, a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top with '54 "Alnico" pickups, a '69 Les Paul Custom, a Gibson "Rossington" SG, a Les Paul Special, several Fender Strats with various single coil configurations (my workhorse Strat has a pair of Barden's and a DiMarzio Pro Track), a '64 Gretsch Nashville, a '69 Gretsch Roc Jet, a Gretsch Duo Jet and an early '90's PRS.

Acoustics include:
a '69 Martin D28, a Taylor 710 Dreadnought, as Taylor Grand Concert, a Gibson Southern Jumbo and a Taylor Nylon String NS 42.

Amps include:
a '62 Fender Brown Deluxe, a '64 Fender Princeton, a Top Hat Club Deluxe, an early 90's Matchless DC 30, a Rivera Knuckelhead 55 Head and an Allen "Hot Fudge" Head. My speakers of choice - for the most part - are Celestion V-30's.

I too, like many guitar players, have a closet shelf full of pedals. I am currently relying the most on:
a Boss Tuner, from Fulltone - a "Clyde" Wah, an OCD and a Fat Boost, from Keeley - a compressor and a Keeley "mod" Boss Blues Driver, a Boss DD2 Digital Delay, a Maxon Analog Delay and a UniChorus analog signal processor from EBS. There's still nothing like that warm Tremolo from an old Fender amp.
